My name is Steve Long, Certified Nutritionist (C.N.) and the proud owner of Northlake Health Food for over 32 years. My focus is always centered around my customers. How can I be of service to them and improve their health? First, over the many years in the alternative medicine industry, have enabled me to develop a 14-point criteria to determine “your specific need” and jump start your journey to optimal health. Second, with the health trends constantly changing, I find it crucially important to stay current and research the validity of products and their true effectiveness before I choose to stock them in my store. Finally, it may sound cliché, but I feel that what is missing from health professionals in the current health market is good listeners. I listen to my customers because YOU know YOU, more than anyone else!

In addition I use comprehensive questionnaires, food journals, allergy testing and more to assist you on your path to optimal health! Knowing how and when to use supplements and in what quantity is what separates us from everyone else. Diagnostic tools can be used to accurately assess what my customers need. At our disposal are blood tests, urinalysis, saliva, and hair sample testing options. These diagnostic tests reveal the health of our organs, glands, blood and other tissues. Steve’s many years in the nutrition industry has enabled him to develop a 14-point criteria to determine his client’s “specific need” for supplements, diet and exercise. During each nutritional counseling session, Steve listens to his client’s health concerns, answers all questions and puts together a personalized health plan.
